Lydia Sawyer

Lydia Sawyer is an accomplished educator currently serving as an Elementary School Teacher at Rocky Mountain Prep since July 2019 and a TFA Corp Member with Teach For America since February 2019, focusing on addressing the opportunity gap for children. Prior experience includes roles as a Human Resources Payroll Administrator at Jasons Hauling from June 2013 to February 2015 and as a Boatswain’s Mate 2nd Class with the US Navy from October 2005 to October 2009, where responsibilities included training and supervising personnel in ship maintenance. Lydia holds a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Colorado Denver (2020-2022), a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Strayer University (2011-2012), an Associate's degree in Social Sciences from Thomas Nelson Community College (2009-2011), and a high school diploma from Lane Technical College Prep High School (2001-2005).
