Head Of Search And Rescue Unit at Norwegian Red Cross

Camilla Fensbekk has a diverse work experience in the field of disaster preparedness and civil protection. Camilla started their career in 2012 as a Program Assistant at AFS Intercultural Programs, where they worked until 2013. In 2013, they joined Prosjekt Haiti as a Project Staff member for a few months. Camilla then returned to AFS Intercultural Programs as a Program Assistant from 2014 to 2014.

In 2014, Camilla Fensbekk worked as a Secretary/Assistant/Clerk at The Embassy of the Republic of Iraq for almost a year. Camilla then joined Norwegian Red Cross in 2015, where they served as a Disaster Preparedness Adviser until 2018. During this time, they also held the role of Senior Adviser for Disaster Preparedness and Civil Protection from 2018 to 2018.

In 2018, Camilla Fensbekk joined German Red Cross as an Adviser for Disaster Preparedness and Civil Protection, where they worked until 2020. Camilla then returned to Norwegian Red Cross in 2020, where they held the position of Senior Adviser for Disaster Preparedness and Civil Protection until 2020. Camilla later became the Acting Head of Unit for Disaster Preparedness and Civil Protection from 2021 to 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Search and Rescue Unit at Norwegian Red Cross.

Camilla Fensbekk pursued their education at the Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences from the years 2011 to 2014. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree, specializing in Crisis Management. Prior to this, they also attended the University of Oslo (UiO) from 2009 to 2014, where they earned another Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Statsvitenskap (Political Science).
