Hans Bohnen

Hans Bohnen is the CEO of Röhm GmbH. They have previously served as Group CEO of HyCC (2023–2024) and as a Senior Operating Partner at Macquarie Asset Management (2023–2024). They were Senior Vice President and General Manager, Masterbatches Business Unit, at Clariant (2009–2014) and were a member of Clariant's Executive Committee and Head of Global Business Services. Earlier in their career, they held roles including Head of Laboratory at Hoechst AG (1995–1998), Head of Research and Development at Celanese (1998–2001), Scientific Associate at Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen (1992–1995), and Master Black Belt North America and Director Excellence at SGL Group – The Carbon Company (2002–2004). They earned an MBA from Aston Business School (2000–2002) and a PhD in Chemistry from Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen (1992–1995), along with a Diploma in Chemistry from Universität Duisburg-Essen (1986–1992).
