Kent Roers

Co-founder and owner of Roers Cos., Kent Roers has 25 years of experience in real estate and finance. In that time, he has been involved in almost every aspect of residential properties, from leasing single-family homes to developing luxury multi-family complexes. Since founding Roers Cos. in 2012, he has been dedicated to ensuring each project receives the funding it needs to get off the ground — and to maximizing returns for investors. Kent is the head of the firm’s investor relations department, which is dedicated to securing funds for each project through a mix of private investors, lenders, and state and local tax incentives. Under Kent’s leadership, the firm has received nearly $300 million in private equity from 500 individual investors. Alongside his co-founder and brother Brian Roers, Kent has driven Roers Cos. to reach $1 billion in completed development in less than 10 years. The firm is also recognized as a top developer in the Twin Cities and one of the fastest-growing companies in the area. In 2021, Kent and Brian Roers were honored as finalists in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards for the Heartland region. Prior to founding Roers Cos., Kent gained his Certified Financial Planning (CFP) certification in 2001 and earned series 7, 66, 65, and 63 financial securities licenses. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Southwest State University.
