Mary Vallellanes Westafer, SPHR, SCP has over 25 years of experience in Human Resources. Mary began their career in 1996 as a Branch Manager for Norrell Services/Spherion, where they were responsible for the P&L of a Fortune 250 corporate branch. In 1999, they became an Area Manager for Remedy Intelligent Staffing, and in 2000 they were an HR Manager for the Customer Contact Center at The Home Depot. In 2002, Mary founded Empleo Resources, and in 2005 they were a Regional HR Director for JT Walker Industries. From 2009 to 2010, they were the US/Canada Corporate HR Team Lead-Employee Relations/Performance Management at The Coca-Cola Company, where they standardized performance management practices and effectively resolved complex investigations. From 2010 to 2016, they were the NA Lead- Field Talent Mgmt, Talent Acquisition & Diversity at Walmart, where they were a Workforce Planning strategist for the NA People Team and an advisor to 6 BU Executive Leadership teams and 300+ Multi-Unit HR Generalists. From 2016 to 2018, they were the Head North America HR at Syniverse, where they led critical HR initiatives during the Agile Transformation. Mary is currently the Chief Employee Experience Officer at Roger West, where they were appointed to spearhead the COVID 19 HR Response and Strategy, during which they led a global cross functional team to deliver an employee experience where the company and its associates could thrive in a time of crisis.

Mary Vallellanes Westafer, SPHR, SCP has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science/Int'l Politics/Anthropology from the University of Central Florida and has completed post graduate work in Mental Health from Nova Southeastern University. Mary also holds certifications in Six Sigma White Belt (2015), SHRM-SCP (2015), SPHR (2007), PHR (1999), and DDI Facilitator.
