David Valenzuela

David Valenzuela has a comprehensive background in information security and technology. David is currently the VP & Chief Information Security Officer at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona. Prior to this, they served as the Global Director of Information Security and Compliance at Rogers Corporation and as the Director of Security Technology and Tools at HealthEquity. David also has experience as the Director of Security Operations & Threat Intelligence at WageWorks, the Technical Director of Security Technology & Architecture at Charles Schwab, and the Information Security Director of Point of Sale Operations at Apriva. Earlier in their career, David worked as the Cyber Assurance Manager at Salt River Project and as a Senior Associate at KPMG LLP. David began their career as a System Administrator and Analyst at BITS. David's expertise includes managing information security programs, conducting assessments, and implementing industry frameworks and standards.

David Valenzuela earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona in 2002. David continued their education at the University of Arizona - Eller College of Management, where they obtained a Master of Science in Management Information Systems from 2002 to 2004.
