Lawrence Distasi

Lawrence DiStasi, CPA has a diverse work experience that spans several industries and roles. Lawrence currently serves as the Director of Finance and Operations at Rogers Park Montessori School, where they have successfully managed a $9 million annual budget and ensured financial stability during the pandemic.

Previously, Lawrence worked as a Senior Financial Analyst at AREcon Natural Resources, where they provided analytical support and made recommendations based on economic analysis. Lawrence also worked as the Finance Director & Co-Founder at The Actors Gymnasium, helping the company grow to become the largest of its kind in the Chicagoland area.

Before that, Lawrence served as a Bookkeeper at Karmel & Gilden, Attorneys at Law, where they streamlined their bookkeeping system and improved financial forecasting. Additionally, they played a key role as Co-Director of Development & Co-Founder at Lookingglass Theatre Company, contributing to its success and establishment as a respected organization.

Throughout their career, Lawrence has consistently demonstrated strong financial management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate complex financial challenges.

Lawrence DiStasi, CPA, obtained a Bachelor's degree in Theatre/Communication from Northwestern University in the years 1983-1987. In 2018, they completed Accounting Associates Coursework at Oakton College. In 2019, they pursued CPA Preparatory Study at Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University. Additionally, Lawrence DiStasi is a Certified Public Accountant, obtaining their certification from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in September 2019.
