Pierre Fortin

Vice President, Media Technology And Innovation at Rogers Sports & Media

Pierre Fortin has a diverse work experience in the media and telecommunications industries. Pierre started their career at Rogers TV in 1992, where they worked as a Producer, creating and producing various series and specials. In 1996, they joined TFO as a Director, overseeing the production of the series "Le Grand Soir."

In 1997, Fortin returned to Rogers Communications and took on the role of Technical Producer/Team Leader - Post Production. Pierre played a crucial role in establishing an internal production house and implementing an all-digital post-production suite. Pierre also took on leadership positions such as Acting Station Manager and Project Leader for playback operations.

From 2001 to 2011, Fortin held several managerial positions at Rogers Communications, including Regional Station Manager and National Manager of Production Engineering. In these roles, they led initiatives such as change management, facility closures, network upgrades, and strategic alliances. Pierre also oversaw engineering functions and capital projects.

In 2011, Fortin became the Director of Customer Solutions at Rogers Communications, responsible for transforming the Customer Solutions team and driving revenue growth. Pierre later became the Director of Planning & Engineering, overseeing the engineering functions for Rogers TV stations nationwide.

Since 2015, Fortin has been working at Rogers Sports & Media. Pierre has held various Vice President roles, including Vice President of Operations & Innovation, Vice President of Media Technology and Operations, and currently Vice President of Media Technology and Innovation.

In addition to their roles at Rogers Communications and Rogers Sports & Media, Fortin also worked at Cable Public Affairs Channel (CPAC) as the Lead Consultant/Acting Director of Technical Operations. Pierre was responsible for overseeing CPAC's broadcast facility rebuild and ensuring optimal system functionality.
