Rafael Aguilar

Rafael Aguilar has worked in the oil and gas industry since 2011. In 2011, they completed an internship as a Geomodeller with PDVSA Petróleos de Venezuela S.A. where they were awarded an Honorific Mention Publication. From 2012 to 2017, they worked with PDVSA Petróleos de Venezuela S.A. in roles as a Geosteering Geologist and Operations Geologist. Since 2017, they have been employed with ROGII Inc. as a Technical Manager Latin America and Geosteering Specialist. In this role, they have worked on more than 110 horizontal well projects and accumulated 156,156 m of lateral length with 94.5% effectivity. Rafael has also provided specialized Geosteering Technical Support using STARSTEER for several operators and services companies on conventional and unconventional oilfields.

Rafael Aguilar has an extensive educational background, beginning with a Geology Engineer (B.Sc.) from Universidad de los Andes (VE) from 2005 to 2011. Rafael then obtained a Data Science degree from Acámica in 2020-2021. In 2022, they received a Digital Transformation Diploma from Centro de e-Learning UTN FRBA and a Managing Digital Products Certificate from Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires.
