Artöm Smirnov

Art Gillespie is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in the autonomous vehicle and software engineering sectors. Currently serving as a Member of Technical Staff at Odyssey since November 2023, Art previously held multiple senior roles at Cruise, including Senior Engineering Manager for Autonomous Vehicle Remote Platform and Remote Assistance and Route Planning. At Voyage, leadership was demonstrated in designing and developing the teleoperations solution "Telessist." Art’s earlier career includes the role of CEO at trainify.io, Director of Engineering at Udacity, and significant engineering management positions at Google and Nest Labs, where impactful contributions were made in growing engineering teams and leading innovative product development. Art’s educational background includes studies at Belmont University and Murray State University.
