Alex Bishop is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in various leadership and technical roles. Currently serving as a Software Engineering Manager at Roku since December 2019, Alex has previously held positions such as Senior Software Engineer and Staff Software Engineer at ATX Networks Corp. and Solekai Systems, respectively. Earlier experience includes working as an Embedded Software Engineer at International Datacasting and a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California San Diego. Additionally, Alex possesses a strong background in the US Navy, serving as a Senior Technical Lead for the Expeditionary Warfare Training Group and as an Electronics Technician. Alex holds a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, both from UC San Diego, along with an Associate of Arts in Transfer Studies from San Diego City College.
