Ben Kang

Ben Kang is a seasoned professional in software engineering and machine learning, currently serving as a Senior Software Machine Learning Engineer at Roku Inc. since June 2022, focusing on recommendations. Prior experience includes roles at Meta, Peacock TV, and NBCUniversal Media, where Ben specialized in large-scale recommendations and developed personalized recommendation systems using advanced technologies such as TensorFlow and Kubeflow. Ben's extensive technical background also features automation and deployment processes in machine learning environments, along with strong skills in A/B testing, ETL processes, and data analysis. With earlier roles as a Chief Technology Officer at Wing Ship Technology Corp. and as a Software Engineer with diverse engineering and naval architecture expertise, Ben holds a Master's degree in Business Analytics from USC and a Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture from Seoul National University.
