Deepak Gauba

Deepak Gauba is a seasoned security software engineer with extensive experience in the field of security architecture and firmware development. Currently serving as a Senior Security Software Engineer at Roku Inc. since May 2022, Deepak is responsible for the security architecture of Roku IoT devices. Prior to this role, Deepak worked at Western Digital as a Principal Security Engineer, focusing on the architecture and design of security protocols for SSDs, and at Ambiq Micro as a Senior Staff Security Engineer, where the design and implementation of cryptographic security firmware for controllers and SoCs were key responsibilities. Deepak's background includes substantial expertise in firmware engineering with previous roles at Broadcom/Avago/NXP Semiconductor and other esteemed organizations, contributing to secure device provisioning and telecommunications hardware. Deepak holds a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from Boise State University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Controls from YMCA Institute of Engineering.
