Oleg Orel

Oleg Orel is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in embedded systems, Linux kernel development, and device drivers. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Roku Inc. since February 2022, Oleg has implemented HDCP protocols. Prior roles include significant contributions at Arista Networks, where Oleg developed PCIe interconnect components, and LynuxWorks, where Oleg initiated the Linux Distribution Builder project. Previous positions at VMware involved recording and replaying storage device I/O, while earlier experience at NetApp and SBE Ltd focused on filesystem enhancements and BSP bring-up. Oleg's career began at Genesys and CERN, where foundational work included developing device drivers and high-performance data transfer systems. Oleg holds a Bachelor's Degree in Machinery Technology from the Moscow Institute of Device Development.
