Alex Mostoufi has a rich work experience spanning various companies and industries. In 2004, they co-founded me.com Inc. as the CTO, where they created several services and software, which were later acquired by Apple Inc. In 2008, they founded Snappville Networks, a consumer social networking platform focused on smaller group sharing, where they developed product strategy for widespread adoption and managed the product roadmap. In 2010, they founded Unicorn Labs, LLC., maker of interactive eBooks and eLearning Apps for iOS, Android, Kindle Fire, and NOOK. This venture created top 30 apps with millions of downloads. In 2011, they founded Lightt, a mobile video creation, and sharing platform that was acquired by mitú Inc. in 2015. In 2014, they worked with Airbnb's product design experience team, where they shaped product experience across platforms and organization, translated product asks and roadmaps into wireframes, and UX designs. In 2015, they became the CTO of mitú, a digital media company that inspired and provoked its audience through mainstream entertainment with a Latino lens. Also, in 2007, they became an ambassador for the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter when they joined World of Children, a non-profit organization that recognizes individuals who work on behalf of children in need. Finally, in 2020, they founded Moonshot LA, a project aimed at accelerating the adoption of sustainable technologies in the LA market.

Alex Mostoufi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from San Jose State University. Additionally, they have studied Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University, though it is unclear whether they obtained a degree from the institution. In 2012, Alex obtained a certification in Behavior Design from The Stanford Persuasive Technology Lab.
