Chris S. serves as the Director of Hardware Engineering at ROLI since August 2014, leading the development of innovative hardware products throughout their entire life-cycle. Chris's responsibilities include product concept evaluation, early stage prototyping, mass production engineering, and managing the transition to contract manufacturing. Prior roles at ROLI involved responsibilities as a Staff Embedded Software Engineer, Technical Project Manager, and Senior Embedded Software Engineer, focusing on embedded software development, firmware management, and system architecture design. Prior to joining ROLI, Chris worked as a Software Engineer at Thales e-Security, contributing to high assurance cryptographic equipment development, and as an Undergraduate R&D Engineer at Sony, engaging in FPGA design and testing for multimedia systems. Chris holds a Master of Engineering degree in Audio Media Engineering from the University of Surrey.
