Andy Blackburn

Andy Blackburn has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and industries. Andy currently holds the position of Lead Supply Chain Manager at Rolls-Royce SMR since January 2024. Prior to this, they worked as a GCM RR SMR at Rolls-Royce for three years from March 2021 to December 2023.

Before their tenure at Rolls-Royce SMR, Andy held various roles at Rolls-Royce, starting as a Global Commodity Manager from January 2017 to March 2021. Andy then progressed to become a Senior Global Commodity Leader, contributing to Project Thor, a major transformation program focused on achieving annualized savings of £200 million and implementing sustainable commercial improvements.

Andy also gained experience in procurement and category management at Controls and Data Services, where they served as the Head of Indirect Procurement from February 2015 to January 2017. Prior to that, they were the Head of Category, Capex, MRO, FM & Engineering Services at British Sugar from May 2010 to November 2012, leading a team responsible for all goods, works, materials, and services.

Their career began at Marconi Command & Control as a Buyer in 1986, and since then, they have held various positions such as Strategic Sourcing Manager at Caradon Gent Limited, Procurement Manager at Willett Limited, and Sourcing Manager at Anglian Water Services. Additionally, Andy has worked as a Senior Consultant at PMMS Consulting Group and as an Interim Consultant at Xchanging. Andy Blackburn attended Wyggeston Boys' School for their secondary education. Andy then went on to study at De Montfort University, where they obtained a Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Business Studies from 1985 to 1987. Subsequently, they completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Business Studies from 1987 to 1989, followed by a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Studies from 1990 to 1993.
