John McGloin

John McGloin has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in supply chain management, engineering, and program management. John began their career as an Engineering Technician at Solartron Metrology in 2008 before transitioning to the role of Mechanical Engineer. In 2010, they joined the University of Southampton as a Sustainable Energy Outreach Mentor. McGloin returned to Solartron Metrology as a Mechanical Engineer in 2010 before joining Rolls-Royce in 2011. At Rolls-Royce, they held multiple positions, including Project Engineer, Design Engineer, and Market Analyst. John progressed to Program Manager and Engineering Program Manager roles, overseeing supply chain solutions and delivery of aerospace engine projects. From 2016 to 2018, they served as a Program Manager for Trent XWB and Trent 7000 engine programs, responsible for managing teams and ensuring project requirements were met. McGloin further advanced to Senior Supply Chain Manager and Head of Supply Chain Programmes before their current role as Head of Procurement - Partnerships at Rolls-Royce SMR since 2023.

John McGloin completed their education in the field of engineering and business. John obtained a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southampton from 2006 to 2010. John then pursued a Master of Science (PGC) in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of the West of England from 2011 to 2014. In 2019, they attended the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School where they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA). John also obtained additional certifications including being a Fully Member of the Association for Project Management (MAPM) from the Association for Project Management in 2017, and becoming a Chartered Engineer (CEng) from the Institution of Mechanical Engineers in 2015.
