Mark Sowerby is currently the Head of Customs at Rolls-Royce plc and has served as a Senior Customs Manager since 2012, previously holding the role of UK Customs Compliance Manager. They are responsible for ensuring compliance with UK customs regulations, managing duty relief mechanisms, and enhancing regulatory compliance through training programs and stakeholder relationships. Prior to their tenure at Rolls-Royce, they held various roles at HM Revenue & Customs from 1984 to 2007, including Audit & Indirect Tax Management positions and leadership roles overseeing operational targets in Customs and Excise. Mark is also pursuing education at Ian Ramsey CoE in Stockton on Tees.
