Irene Van de Poll is an experienced investment manager and business developer with a strong focus on foreign investments and international business expansion. Currently serving as an Investment Manager and Business Developer & Innovation Lead at the Regional Development Agency (ROM) Utrecht Region since September 2020, Irene has previously held the position of Sr Project Manager for Foreign Investments at Utrecht Region, where responsibilities included attracting international life sciences and health companies to the Netherlands. Irene's prior experience includes roles as an International Project Manager at the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency, assisting North American companies with their expansion efforts, and as a Business Advisor at the West-Holland Foreign Investment Agency, focusing on lead generation from China and Taiwan. Irene holds an MSc in Innovation Management from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, and a BSc in International Business Administration from Erasmus University Rotterdam, complemented by an exchange semester at Copenhagen Business School.
