Very Rev. David R. Lefort

Vicar General & Moderator Of The Curia at Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany, New York

Very Rev. David R. LeFort serves as Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany, New York, since June 2016, and holds the position of Diocesan Vicar General and Chair of the Presbyteral Council, the advisory body to the bishop. In addition, Very Rev. LeFort has been the Rector and Administrator at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception Albany since July 2017 and has served as an Adjunct Professor at Siena College since January 2010. Previous pastoral roles include Pastor at Church of St. Mary at Clinton Heights from July 2007 to June 2017, Pastor at Our Lady of Hope and St. Ann's Church from July 2002 to June 2007, and Associate Pastor at Our Lady of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church from August 1999 to June 2002. Very Rev. LeFort's educational background includes a STL in Moral Theology from Academia Alfonsiana, a STB in Sacred Theology from Pontifical Gregorian University, and a BA in Philosophy from Nazareth University.
