Fred Adamson

Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia at Roman Catholic Diocese of Phoenix

Fr. Fredrick J. Adamson was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Phoenix on June 3, 1995. He has served as Parochial Vicar at St. Theresa Parish in Phoenix, Our Lady of Joy Parish in Carefree, and as Pastor of Resurrection Parish in Tempe. He was appointed Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia on July 1, 2004. He serves on several diocesan committees and councils in his role, including the Diocesan Finance Council and the Diocesan Presbyteral Council.

Fr. Adamson earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Michigan, and his Master of Divinity degree from St. John’s Seminary, Camarillo, California. He worked for five years as a Registered Nurse with a specialty in Cardiovascular Intensive Care. He attended Arizona State University’s Center for Nonprofit Leadership and Management.

He is a member of the Equestrian Order of the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem and the Knights of Columbus.

Fr. Adamson was reared in Southwest Michigan and is the oldest of four children.
