Julien Waehlti has a diverse work experience in the energy and sustainability sector. Julien is currently a Board Member at Proxipel, a company focused on improving wood waste recycling and producing pellets locally. Previously, they worked at Romande Energie in various roles including Head of Smart City Assets, Smart City Assets Business Line Manager, Solar & Biomass Asset Manager, and Photovoltaic Asset and O&M Manager. Julien also gained experience as an Engineering & Operations Consultant at AGAP2, where they worked on project and business development in the biogas sector. Additionally, they had a role as an Engineer & Scientific/Project Assistant at EPFL and held positions at urbaMonde and E4tech.
Julien Waehlti pursued their education at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne). From 2005 to 2008, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences and Engineering. During the same period, they also completed a Minor's degree in Management, Technology, and Entrepreneurship. Subsequently, from 2009 to 2012, Julien pursued their Master's degree in Environmental Sciences and Engineering at EPFL.
In terms of additional certifications, Julien Waehlti obtained the Référent Lean Services certification from SAQ Swiss Association for Quality in May 2023.
