Gary Jones

Gary Jones is an experienced educator and community leader with a strong background in curriculum development and gifted education. Currently serving as a Curriculum Writer for the Georgia Department of Education since May 2022, and as an Educator for Rome City Schools since August 2004, Gary has also contributed to various organizations as a Board Member for the Rome International Film Festival and as the Chess Club Director at East Central Elementary School. In addition to teaching, Gary has engaged in fundraising efforts for organizations such as The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, and has volunteered as a judge for the Sexual Assault Center's Rome Celebrity Dance Challenge. Gary holds a Specialist of Education degree from the University of West Georgia and has an extensive educational background from Berry College, including a Master’s Degree and a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education.
