Jason King is an experienced educator and coach with a focus on special education and athletics. Currently serving as a Special Education Teacher and Varsity Football Coach at Rome City Schools since May 2017, Jason co-teaches English Language Arts for 9th and 10th grades and oversees the varsity running backs for the football team, leading a successful run game. Prior experience includes a role as a Special Education Teacher and coach at Valdosta High School, where Jason contributed to the varsity football program and maintained classroom management while teaching British Literature and Zoology. Additional coaching experience includes mentoring young athletes at Heritage High School. Jason's diverse background also includes positions in account management and sales with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, alongside experience as a Correctional Officer with The GEO Group, Inc. Educational credentials include a Master of Education in Special Education from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor's degree in Criminology from Auburn University.
