Melvin Tennant II Ma, Cae

Melvin Tennant, II MA, CAE has an extensive career in the tourism and convention industry. Melvin began their career in 1980 as an Associate Director of Sales at the Greater Houston Convention & Visitors Bureau. Melvin then held various leadership roles, such as Assistant Executive Director at the Irving Convention & Visitors Bureau, President & CEO at the Oakland Convention & Visitors Bureau, and President & CEO at Visit Charlotte. In 2003, they became the Executive Director of the San Antonio Convention & Visitors Bureau. From 2005 to 2007, they worked as the Chief Innovation Officer at Innovative Management Resources. In 2007, they became the CEO of the Internet Destination Sales System and later that year, they also became the Chief Executive Officer of Meet Minneapolis. In 2017, they took on the role of Executive Director at Sports Minneapolis. Throughout their career, Melvin Tennant, II MA, CAE has consistently demonstrated their expertise and leadership in the tourism and convention industry.
