Mary (Katie) Friot MPH, RN, CIC is a dedicated healthcare professional with extensive experience in infection prevention and nursing. Currently serving as the Director of Infection Prevention, Employee Health & Wellbeing, and Environmental Services at Rome Health since September 2021, Friot previously held the role of Infection Prevention Coordinator at Masonic Care Community of New York from November 2018 to September 2021. Other positions include Infection Control Nurse at Central New York Psychiatric Center and Infection Preventionist and Operating Room Nurse at Mohawk Valley Health System. Friot holds a Master of Public Health from the University of South Carolina and an Associate's degree in Registered Nursing from St. Elizabeth College of Nursing, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Ithaca College.
