Michael Couch

Michael Couch is an experienced analytics professional currently serving as the Lead Analytics Engineer at Rome2Rio since November 2025. Prior to this role, Michael held the position of Senior Data Platform Engineer at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) from October 2023 to November 2025. Michael's previous experience includes working as a Senior Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, and Developer at Servian from March 2020 to March 2023, as well as a Data Scientist at SGS Economics and Planning from April 2017 to December 2019. Michael earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mathematics, specializing in Mathematical Physics, from Northwestern University between 2010 and 2016.
