Ron Finemore

For over 55 years, Ron Finemore Transport's Executive Chairman, Ron Finemore AO, has brought unsurpassed passion and commitment to the transport and logistics industry. In recognition of his contribution to safety in the road transport industry he was appointed as an ”Officer of the Order of Australia” (AO) in 1999.

Ron is a current member of the NSW Road Freight Industry Council (RFIC). The RFIC’s focus is on road freight transport issues that affect road safety, efficiency and productivity in relation to operational and customer service matters.

Additionally Ron is also the Heavy Vehicle Industry Representative for the NSW Road Safety Council.

Ron has actively led the Ron Finemore Transport Group from the initial purchase of Lewingtons Transport in 2004 and the 2005 acquisition of Smiths Transport Orange until today. His hands-on and down-to-earth approach is legendary among both his staff and industry colleagues and he constantly strives to deliver improved safety, productivity and cost efficiency.
