Doug Young currently serves as the Chief Merchandising Officer at RONA since October 2023. Previously, Doug held various leadership roles at Canadian Tire Corporation from January 2006 to September 2023, including Vice President of Merchandising for both the Seasonal & Gardening Division and the Living Division, as well as Associate Vice President roles in Home Cleaning and Merchandise Space Planning. In these positions, Doug led teams to develop product assortments, pricing strategies, and promotional plans, while focusing on financial performance metrics. Prior experience includes serving as Marketing Director at Hudson's Bay Company and Senior Marketing Manager at Zellers, following an educational background in Marketing Communications from Cape Breton University and further studies at Schulich School of Business.
