Ronald McDonald House Charities of Denver, Inc.
Ronald McDonald House® Charities of Denver, Inc. offers a loving home-away-from-home to families seeking medical treatment at area hospitals. At no cost. For as long as treatment takes. We offer more than just a place to stay. While the primary program of RMHC of Denver is to provide a home away from home for families of seriously ill or injured children, we also have three Ronald McDonald Family Rooms within are hospitals. Families staying at Ronald McDonald House-Denver often experience stress and isolation due to the illness of their child. The Family Meal Program offers groups of volunteers the opportunity to extend needed support to these families by providing and preparing a meal at the House. Families get to spend time sharing meals with others in the House, building relationships with people who understand their situation. In time some of our guests will choose to go on outings (using tickets that have been donated) with people they have met during meals at the House. Families enjoy a myriad of amenities offered at our Houses. The Denver House hosts up to 73 families a night, and includes 3 kitchens, laundry facilities, TV lounges, computer rooms and indoor/outdoor play areas. The House meets all ADA standards and houses staff and volunteer offices. Our 76,000 square foot residence in Aurora, meets all ADA standards and houses up to 45 families a night. It sports 3 large kitchens, laundry facilities, TV lounges, play areas indoors and out, computer rooms and a patio.
