Hermen De Jong serves as Innovation Manager at Royal Huisman since April 2016, focusing on projects related to Featherlight, User Experience, Renewable Fuels and Energy solutions, and Wind Propulsion. De Jong previously held positions as Engineering Project Manager, overseeing design processes for new yacht builds, and as Systems Engineer, ensuring compliance with fire safety standards and noise performance. In addition, De Jong has been the Innovation Manager at Rondal since January 2022 and held a similar role from February 2015 to June 2016, where key achievements included the implementation of international standards for yacht doors. Prior experience includes a Knowledge Engineering consultant at KE-works, a freelance researcher, and various teaching roles at TU Delft, coupled with an internship at Airbus. De Jong holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from Delft University of Technology.
