Rondebosch Boys' High School
Rene Toerien is a Physical Sciences teacher at Rondebosch Boys' High School since January 2018. Prior to this role, Rene held various positions at the University of Cape Town from January 2007 to December 2018, including Post-doctoral Fellow, Lecturer, PhD Student, and Research Officer. Earlier in Rene's career, from January 2000 to December 2006, they worked as a teacher at Rondebosch Boys' High School. Rene holds a PhD in Science Education from the University of Cape Town, a Master of Philosophy in Science Education, and a Hons in Chemistry from Stellenbosch University. Additionally, Rene obtained a Higher Diploma in Education from the University of South Africa and completed their high school education at Bellville High School.
