Santi Rivai has a diverse range of work experience spanning over several years. Beginning in 1996, they worked as a Graphic Designer at Boston University School for the Arts in Boston, USA. They then held the position of Digital Artist at Silverweave Interactive from June 1997 to June 1998.

In 1999, Rivai worked at McKay Communications as a Graphic Designer, where they developed design concepts for client web projects and collaborated with advertising and PR divisions. Later that year, they joined Zefer, a web consultancy in Boston, USA, as a Senior Experience Designer. In this role, Rivai led design teams, mentored interns, and collaborated with business and technology divisions.

In 2002, Rivai established their independent design consultancy called santirivai:/design in Jakarta, Indonesia. As the Principal Designer, they specialized in identity development and application, and their clients included companies like Cinemaxx (now Cinépolis), where they developed the brand identity for Lippo Group's Cinemaxx and supervised the internal design team.

From 2007 to 2013, Rivai served as the Head of Brand Identity Dept. at blitzmegaplex, where they developed brand identity and guided the internal design team in issuing design guidelines and templates for various media.

In 2018, Rivai joined ASRI (a subsidiary of Agung Sedayu Group) as the Senior Manager - Brand Communication, where they established the Brand Communications department. They optimized existing design resources and provided communication and design support for marketing, operational, and recruitment efforts.

Most recently, Rivai became the Head of Brand at Roojai in 2022.

Santi Rivai's education history includes various institutions and degrees. They attended Taruna Bakti from 1981 to 1989, during which no specific degree or field of study was obtained. Following that, Santi attended Leroy-Ostrander High School in 1989-1990, and Duluth East High School in 1990-1991. It should be noted that no degree or field of study was specified for these two institutions. Santi further pursued education at Boston University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from 1991 to 1995. Subsequently, they also completed a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Graphic Design at Boston University from 1996 to 1998.
