Tammi McCoy is currently the Legal Operations at rook. Prior to this, they were the Legislative Director for the Texas House of Representatives from January 2001 to September 2003 and then Vice President - Legal & Regulatory Affairs for the Colorado Automobile Dealers Association from January 2005 to June 2017. In their role as Legislative Director, they were responsible for full-time during law school. As Vice President - Legal & Regulatory Affairs, they were responsible for monitoring state regulatory matters, fostering relations with state and local leaders, advocating for the retail auto industry in rulemaking and with relevant boards, state departments, and the legislature, and served as an advisor to business owners/managers on compliance issues. Additionally, they directed a Member Services Committee to identify and select new endorsed companies to generate royalty revenue, negotiated final contracts/terms for endorsements, managed vendor relations, and drove marketing. Tammi also conceptualized, spearheaded, and co-authored (with outside counsel) development and production of the first-ever, comprehensive state compliance guide for dealers. Additionally, they managed the relationship with legal forms publisher—one of top revenue streams—including setup of a joint venture for digital forms and e-contracting along with the subsequent purchase and transfer of this auto-forms business.

Tammi McCoy has a B.S.B.A from Drake University in Actuarial Science / Computer Information Systems, a Javascript Accelerated 6 week-eve course-Sept-2018 from Galvanize Inc in Computer Programming, Specific Applications, and a J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law in Law & Policy. Tammi McCoy is certified from the Colorado State Supreme Court in Admitted to practice law, Colorado, Columbia Engineering AI Exec Ed in Applied Data Science, and the Texas Supreme Court in Admitted to practice law, Texas.
