Honea Henderson Owens Lmsw (Honey)

Honea "Honey" Henderson Owens, LMSW, is a licensed master social worker with a diverse background in mental health counseling and residential real estate. Currently serving as a Mental Health Counselor at Room For Change since February 2022, Honea focuses on trauma recovery, grief work, life stage changes, and substance use recovery. Previously, Honea worked as a Mental Health Clinician at New Friends New Life, where responsibilities included individual therapy and co-leading group classes. Early career experiences include a Foundation Intern role at the Center for Addiction and Recovery Studies, teaching classes on parenting and substance abuse awareness, as well as significant experience in residential real estate sales with Dave Perry Miller & Associates and David Griffin & Company. Honea holds a Master’s degree in Clinical/Medical Social Work from The University of Texas at Arlington and has degrees in Interdisciplinary Studies and from the University of Mississippi.
