Drew Chapman, MD is an accomplished, nationally recognized sports fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon for Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates (out of Brigham & Women’s/Faulkner Hospital and the New England Baptist Hospital) and a clinical instructor at Tufts University School of Medicine.
A native Bostonian, Drew received his undergraduate degree from Kenyon College, his Masters Degree from Harvard University and his Medical Degree from the Boston University School of Medicine. After completing his surgical internship in General Surgery and an Orthopedic Surgery residency at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, Drew moved to Utah to further his training. There he completed an Orthopedic Sports Fellowship at the University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics in Salt Lake City and also participated as a team physician for the University of Utah. He was eventually lured back east by the opportunity to work as one of the team physicians for the Boston Red Sox with Dr. William Morgan.
A renowned expert on sports medicine, Drew’s has been published in a number of national journals and he is a sought-after speaker on related topics for both regional and national conferences. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, the Massachusetts Orthopedic Association, and the New England Orthopedic Society.
In addition to his involvement with the Room to Dream Foundation, Drew is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Perkins School for the Blind in Watertown and the Corporation of Camp O-At-Ka in East Sebago, Maine.
