Jo Ann Kumins

Jo Ann has been a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker for the past 25 years. She received her Masters in Social Work from Boston University in 1986.

Jo Ann worked in the Out Patient Psychiatry Department of Newton Wellesley Hospital from 1986 through 1992 and has treated adults presenting with all aspects of mental illness. She has also led numerous psychotherapy groups in a variety of topic areas.

In 1992 she joined a private psychotherapy group practice in Wellesley. She currently maintains a private practice in that location treating adults individually and in couple’s therapy. Additionally, she worked for Boston University teaching graduate continuing education courses for several years.

Jo Ann was a member of the National Multiple Sclerosis Board for 5 years. She also was the chair for Boston University’s 60 Anniversary campaign. Currently, she is a member of the MS Cure Fund Steering Committee.
