Ryan Hebert

Ryan Hebert has extensive work experience in the field of research, monitoring, and evaluation. Ryan started their career at the American Civil Liberties Union as an Administrative and Finance Assistant from November 2005 to May 2007. Ryan then worked at Google as an Administrative Associate for Google.org from January 2008 to September 2008. In 2009, they joined InSTEDD as a Graduate Student Researcher for a brief period from June 2009 to September 2009.

In 2010, Ryan worked for the World Health Organization as a Contract Researcher and Data Analyst from December 2010 to April 2011. Ryan then joined Safe Water Network as a Program Associate from August 2011 to December 2013, and later as a Program Manager from December 2013 to April 2014.

Since 2014, Ryan has been working at Room to Read. Ryan started as an Associate Manager in the Research, Monitoring & Evaluation department from April 2014 to January 2016. Ryan then progressed to the role of Manager from February 2016 to June 2018. Afterward, they served as the Associate Director from June 2018 to May 2023 before taking on their current role as the Director of Research Monitoring & Evaluation.

Throughout their tenure at Room to Read, Ryan has been responsible for various tasks, including managing research projects, overseeing the production of annual reports, providing technical support to teams worldwide, and conducting surveys and data analysis.

Ryan Hebert has a BA in Anthropological Science from Stanford University (2001-2005). Ryan also holds an M.Phil in Development Studies from the University of Oxford (2008-2010). In addition, they participated in a Study Abroad Program at the School for International Training in Bolivia focusing on Culture and History (2003). Ryan completed their high school education at Gull Lake High School (1997-2001).
