Susan Q Yin

Susan Q Yin has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Susan Q currently works at Room to Read as the Marketing and Communications Design Lead. Prior to this, they held positions at Brown Girls Doc Mafia, first as the Deputy Digital Director and later as the Migration and Digital Project Manager. Susan also worked at SYINQ as a Nonprofit Digital Consultant and Graphic Designer. Susan Q gained valuable experience at the International Documentary Association (IDA), where they held various roles, including Associate Director, Communications, Design and Digital Projects, Creative Director of Documentary Magazine, Manager of Communications, Design and Digital Projects, and Digital Producer & Designer. Susan also worked as a Global Projects Fellow at Purpose PBC, a Special Projects Coordinator at Chesapeake Climate Action Network, a Summer Program Mandarin Teacher at Asian American LEAD (AALEAD), a Communications Intern at the National Environmental Education Foundation (NEEF), a Clean Energy Policy Intern at The Wilderness Society, and a Communications and Education Intern at UNA-USA SD.

Susan Q Yin holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Environment, Politics and Society from UCL. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree at UC San Diego, with a major in International Studies - Political Science and a minor in Environmental Studies.
