Alex Larsen

Alex Larsen is the CEO of Roomi, a free website and app that makes it safer and easier to search for room rentals, sublets, and roommates. Alex has held this position for 7 years and 5 months, during which time they have also served as the COO.

Prior to Roomi, Larsen was the Co-Founder and CEO of Larsen Toy Lab, a company focused on providing premium, educational, sustainable children's toys to values-based consumers exclusively through online channels. Alex was with Larsen Toy Lab for 3 years.

Before that, Larsen was a Design Engineer with Humanscale, where they continually scanned and implemented sustainable design techniques with an emphasis on material selection, manufacturing processes, sourcing, and part reduction for projects in development stages. Alex was with Humanscale for 2 years.

Larsen began their career as an Engineering Intern with Humanscale for 4 months.

Alex Larsen has a MBA from Pepperdine University, Graziadio School of Business and Management with a focus in entrepreneurship and sustainability. Alex also has a B.S from Miami University in engineering and engineering management. In 2009, Alex was awarded the SEER Certificate from Pepperdine University for Socially, Ethically, Environmentally Responsible business practices.
