Elie Zakhem, PhD, PMP

Elie Zakhem, PhD, PMP has worked in a variety of roles in the field of regenerative medicine, beginning in 2010 as a Research Assistant at the University of Michigan Medical School. In 2011, they moved to the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine, where they worked as a Research Assistant. Elie then became a Graduate Research Assistant at the Wake Forest School of Medicine in 2012. In 2016, they were a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine. Elie then moved to ACell, Inc. in 2018, where they worked as a Senior Scientist. Most recently, in 2021, they began work as a Senior Scientist at Integra LifeSciences and as a Manager, Process Development at RoosterBio Inc.

Elie Zakhem, PhD, PMP obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology, General from the University of Balamand in 2007. Elie then went on to receive their Master of Science (MSc) in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Wayne State University in 2010. Finally, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Molecular Medicine and Translational Sciences from Wake Forest School of Medicine in 2016. In addition, Elie Zakhem is a Project Management Professional (PMP) certified by the Project Management Institute.
