David Santos

David Santos is an experienced financial professional with a strong focus on credit analysis and risk management. Currently serving as a Credit Analyst at Root Capital since June 2023, David supports the growth and quality of a credit portfolio by collaborating with the Portfolio Manager on financial and credit analysis for rural small and medium agricultural enterprises. Prior to this role, David worked at SBM Bank Kenya from August 2018 to May 2023, where responsibilities included assisting in business deal closures and conducting comprehensive credit analyses. David also held a position as a Credit Risk Specialist at Chase Bank Kenya Ltd from January 2015 to July 2018, performing similar duties. Earlier experience includes serving as an Operations Supervisor at Mumias Sugar Company from July 2011 to December 2014, managing operations related to seed cane and fertilizer supply. Education includes a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Daystar University and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from Moi University.
