Roots Community Health Center
Frank Scott is an experienced professional with a diverse background in youth navigation services, athletics, and safety coordination. Currently, Frank serves as a Youth Navigation Services specialist at Roots Community Health Center and has an ongoing role as a Professional Basketball Player with Tucanes Mexico. Frank also represents adidas while coaching youth basketball for the Golden State Warriors, emphasizing skill development and safety for young athletes. Previous experience includes campus safety coordination at Oakland Charter High School, where Frank implemented disciplinary plans and managed emergencies, as well as coaching the Envision Academy women's basketball team to a league championship. Frank's early career involved fulfilling specialist roles and customer service positions, complemented by a strong educational foundation from the University of California, Berkeley.

Roots Community Health Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to reducing health disparities in East Oakland, California. Roots is the first community health center in East Oakland to provide physician care at patient homes and residential facilities. Roots Community Health Center celebrated the opening of its new facility at 9925 International Blvd. in March of 2011. Our mission The mission of Roots Community Health Center is to uplift those impacted by systematic inequities and poverty by providing culturally responsive, comprehensive healthcare, behavioral health, and wraparound services; identifying and addressing root causes of illness and suffering; and emphasizing self-sufficiency and community empowerment. Roots Community Health Center accomplishes its mission by providing top-quality healthcare, conducting community-based participatory research, and offering opportunities for rehabilitation, education, training, and employment to reduce poverty and dependency in our community. Roots implements its programs and services while honoring the “roots” of culture, heritage, and tradition; by providing unprecedented access to services; by remaining community-aware and community-responsive; and by establishing partnerships to ensure a more efficient continuum of care in Oakland.
