Rachel O'Brien

Rachel O'Brien is a Partner at Ropes & Gray LLP since July 2023, previously serving as a Partner in Investment Funds at Kirkland & Ellis from January 2018 to July 2023. Rachel's practice primarily involves the formation, marketing, management, and regulatory compliance of private equity funds and other investment vehicles, addressing operational, legal, and regulatory challenges faced by their sponsors. Prior to this, Rachel held roles at JPMorgan Chase & Co. as a Senior Associate in Market Risk Analysis, Governance and Strategy, and at Sidley Austin LLP as an Associate in Financial Services Regulatory. Rachel also gained experience as a Trainee Solicitor with multiple rotations, along with paralegal positions at WilmerHale and Salans.
