Samer Musallam

Samer Musallam is currently a Partner at Ropes & Gray LLP since January 2021, bringing substantial legal experience in antitrust law. Previously, Musallam served as Senior Counsel to the Assistant Attorney General in the Antitrust Division at the U.S. Department of Justice from October 2015 to January 2021, where supervision of litigation teams and development of legal strategies were key responsibilities. Musallam also held the position of Senior Associate at Paul Hastings from June 2011 to October 2015, managing client representation in litigation and merger reviews. Earlier roles include Senior Associate in the Antitrust Group at Baker Botts LLP and Senior Antitrust Associate at Howrey LLP. Musallam began a legal career as an Associate at Thompson Hine LLP. Education includes an MBA in Banking and Finance from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, a JD from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, and a BA in Political Science/Economics from the University of Toronto Mississauga.
