Timothy Farrell

Timothy Farrell is a partner at Ropes & Gray LLP, where an extensive career spans over a decade, focusing on complex litigation matters for public and private companies, private equity sponsors, and large not-for-profit institutions. Tim’s expertise encompasses disputes related to mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, securities, and high-stakes commercial claims. Prior to this role, Timothy served as a Special Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Chicago, and held summer associate positions at Ropes & Gray LLP and Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP, as well as an internship with the U.S. Department of Justice. Academically, Timothy earned a J.D., cum laude, from New York University School of Law, where recognized with the Vanderbilt Medal for outstanding contributions, and holds advanced degrees in music performance from Manhattan School of Music and Northwestern University.
