Tom Alabaster

Tom Alabaster is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in investment funds and corporate law. Currently serving as Partner and Head of Funds (EMEA) at Ropes & Gray LLP since May 2020, Tom specializes in the international structuring and operation of private funds, catering to a diverse client base. Prior roles include Partner at Linklaters, focusing on private fund strategies, and Partner at Latham & Watkins within the Investment Funds Practice. Tom also held the position of Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for Europe & Africa at The Carlyle Group, concentrating on fund formation and regulatory compliance matters. Tom's foundational experience includes significant roles at Debevoise & Plimpton as a Senior Associate in investment management and as an Associate in Corporate M&A at Slaughter and May.
