Stefan Heil

Team Lead International IT Services at Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung

Stefan Heil is an accomplished IT professional with extensive experience in international IT services and academic project management. Currently serving as Team Lead International IT Services at Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung since January 2020, Stefan manages the IT infrastructure for the foundation’s 26 international offices, building on prior expertise as a DevOps Engineer for 24 locations. Previously, at the Technical University Berlin, Stefan worked as a researcher and ICT Project Manager, where Stefan developed vocational training programs for IT specialists and provided technical training to Afghan IT staff. Additional experience includes freelance IT consulting, co-founding the developer company Vox S, and serving as Chief Information Officer for Knowledge Must. Educational qualifications include a Magister Artium in Political Science, with a focus on International Relations and Development Studies, from Heidelberg University.

The Rosa Luxemburg Foundation is one of the six party-affiliated political foundations in the Federal Republic of Germany. It is affiliated with the party DIE LINKE. The foundation's primary task is political education. The foundation's work promotes critical social analysis, progressive cultural approaches and the networking of emancipatory actors. It operates internationally in the field of development cooperation and equal dialogue and documents important results of left-wing politics with the help of the Archive of Democratic Socialism. In addition, it supports young academics with scholarships as part of its study program.
