Susan Miller has a diverse and extensive work experience. Susan started their career as the Director of the Child and Family Guidance Center at Guardian Angel Home in 1979. Here, they were responsible for the administration, supervision, and provision of counseling and advocacy services for children, adolescents, and adults. Susan played a significant role in establishing one of the first shelters for battered women and children in Illinois and the country.
In 1983, Susan joined the First National Bank of Chicago as an Officer and Customer Service Manager. Susan successfully implemented and managed a centralized customer relations strategy, improving the timeliness and responsiveness of customer service by 50%.
From 1986 to 1996, Susan served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of R.S. Miller, Inc. In this role, they expanded and developed new markets, significantly increasing gross revenues by 220% through the identification and development of new customers and market expansion.
In 1996, Susan became the Chief Executive Officer of Rose Brooks Center, Inc. Under their leadership, the organization provided crisis intervention, supportive services, and domestic violence prevention programs. Susan successfully enhanced the anti-violence prevention program, extending its reach from high school students to include middle, elementary, and preschool students. Susan also designed a unique 44,000 square foot physical complex, making Rose Brooks Center the largest full continuum care facility for domestic violence in Missouri. Susan received several awards and honors for their visionary leadership and innovation, including the 2012 Outstanding Leadership in Violence Prevention award from Futures Without Violence.
Additionally, Susan was appointed by the Governor of Missouri in 2002 to be the first member of the Governor's Task Force on Domestic Violence. Susan represented the Missouri Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence at the national level and was nominated to participate in the Greater Missouri Leadership Program.

Susan Miller has completed their education at various institutions. Susan obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and English from North Central College in Naperville, Illinois. Later on, they attended Northwestern University where they became a Certified Family Therapist, and finally, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois Jane Addams School of Social Work.
